Ballerup new suburban center, København

 

 

After a develop, Ballerup could be an atractive area for itself and other areas next to it. To become Ballerup in a SUBURBAN CENTER, it needs a own concentration of urban equipments, which now are not enough.

 

PROPOSAL: PLATFORM. To have the possibility to use the spaces of the railway and to improve the quality of spaces next to it, the proposed solution is a platform which can be understood as a carpet, a extension of the city over the railway. With the platform it is also possible to arrive to the roof of the shopping mall, so, the city extends over the building. Now, there are 45.000 m2 of new city, where a lot of new functions can go on.
