Construction of the house

 

One of the biggest challenges of the project was the construction of the prototype within a very short time, just 2 months. To assembly the house, the team only had 2 weeks in Madrid. To achieve this, the use of industrialized building systems, the use of standardized elements and perfect organization of the construction process were essential.

Ekihouse is composed of two longitudinal modules that facilitate and optimize transport of the house. Since the modules work independently; structurally, constructively and mecanically; and, once in the placement, the only thing to do is connect them. The house can be extended by adding the number of volumes needed.
